2009 IPL Final - Deccan Chargers (DC) vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Live

The final of 2009 IPL will be played beteen two bottom placed teams, Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday, May 24th at Johannesburg. IPL2 final has scheduled to start at 16.30 PM local time.


Deccan won the last match comfortably against title favorite Delhi by 6 wickets with 14 balls remaining as captain Adam Gilchrist leading from the fron and he is a big match player, contributed well in all finals he had played for world champions Australia.


Royal Challengers Bangalore removed their test team status and won the last 5 matches in a roe beaten top teams of the tournament including Deccan Chargers. Manish Pandey is a new sensation scored century in the last match against Deccan and in the semi-final scored 48 runs and won two man of the match awardsin two matches he played this season.

Bangalore beat Chennai by 6 wickets to meet Deccan in the Final of 2009 IPL

Mainish Pandey once again played a handful inning to take Royal Bangalore Challengers in the final of 2009 IPL, as they comfortably beat favorite Chennai Super Kings in the 2nd semi final on Saturday, May 23rd at Johannesburg.


Chennai put 61 runs for the 1st wicket by openers Parthiv Patel and Mathew Hayden, scored 36 runs and 26 runs respectively but then tight bowling by Bangalore restricted Chennai to 146/5 in 20 overs, Dhoni also chipped with 28 runs but unable to make a competetive total.


Bangalore reduced to 22/2 but 3rd wicket partnership of 72 runsbetween Manish Pandey and Rahul Dravid, score 48 runs and 44 runs respectively put Bangalore in a comfortable position and then Kohli and Ross Taylor sealed a comfortable win with 7 balls remaining.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Royal Challengers Bangalore - 2009 IPL 2nd Semi Final

Last year runner up Chennai Super Kings will take last year 2nd last team Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2nd semifinal of 200p IPL on Saturday, May 23rd 2009 at Johannesburg.


Chennai Super Kings is looking favorite as Michael Hussey is also available and will replace out of form Jacob Oram along with tournament highest scorer Mathew Hayden. Muralitharan is also in good form to test Bangalore's middle order.


Royal Challengers Bangalore won their last 4 matches to reach the semis and defeated Channai in their last high scoring match. Bangalore will highly depend on Kallis, Ross Taylor, Dravid and last match hero Manish Pandey in batting deparment while in bowling Pravin Kumar taking regular wicket and Kumble is very economical.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) - 41st match of IPL2

Match summary:
Royal Challengers Bangalore 176 for 4 (Taylor 81*, Kartik 2-28) beat Kolkata Knight Riders 173 for 4 (McCullum 84*, Hussey 43, Vinay Kumar 2-33) by six wickets

Which could have been one of the best batting performance by Kolkatta Knight Riders was shattered completely by Ross Taylor of ROyal challengers Bangalore with a superb knock of 81 runs in just 33 balls one of the quickest knock of this season quenching the thirst for a win to stay alive in the championship.

At reported earlier KKR had scored 173 thanks to thier captain McCullum,who scored his best score of this IPL season with 84 along with Hussey (43 of 27 balls) to give support for achieveing the total of a competitive 173; thinking thier bowlers would be able to restrict RCB who were sailing the same boat as that of KKR being the lowest in ranking of IPL 2

Ross Taylor had a different plan and came down heavily on the bowlers of KKR destroying them completely by hitting them all over the ground to score one of the quickest half century of this IPL.
