England all rounder Andrew Flintoff will retire from test cricket after Ashes

England’s Charismatic all rounder Andrew Flintoff announced his retirement from test cricket after current Ashes Series on the eve of 2nd test match between Australia and England on Wednesday, 15th July, 2009.
31 years old Flintoff facing series of injuries and missed 25 tests out of England’s 48 test matches in last few years is in doubtful for 2nd test at Lord’s. He announced his retirement from longest form but make himself available for the limited over ODI’s and shortest version of the game T20.

Flintoff played 76 tests so far scored 3708 runs at an average of 31.69 with 5 centuries and 219 wickets at an average of 32.51 with two 5 wickets haul in his career.

England Vs Netherlands (Holland) – ICCT20 World Cup 2009 1st Match

In the 1st match of ICC T20 World Cup 2009, The home team England play with Netherlands (Holland) on Friday, 5th June, 2009 at Lord's, London starting from 16.30 GMT, 10.00PM IST.

England won their warm up match over West Indies who scored only 144 runs which was chased down well by England in only 14.4 overs. England got a new opening pair in Luke Wright and Ravi Bopara who played for the Kings XI Punjab team in the IPL and has been in good form since then which he displayed in the warm up game.

A win over Scotland gave the Dutch team the confidence of pulling a win in the first match against England. If Netherland over England then England has to win over Pakistan by a good margin.
