Sri Lanka thrashes Pakistan in the 2nd Test – SL beat Pak 2nd Test to take Series 2 Nil

A devastated Pakistan team will ponder what struck them in the post lunch session on the third day when they lost 9 wickets adding just 35 runs. For once the team was cruising well with Fawad Alam (168 runs, maiden century) & captain Younis Khan (82 runs) having an awesome quick partnership giving an impression of a huge score on board and an easy Pakistan win. The Pakistani wickets crumbled like a house of cards with Kulasekara catching batsmen plumb in front of the stumps and Herath taking his first five-for to destroy all hopes of a Pakistan build up. Fawad Alam was the only good show for Pakistan fans but his efforts went down the drain by pathetic showing with the bat by the remainder of the PAK team.

Sri Lanka seemed to be in a hurry to finish off the game before they wind up for the day. Firstly Warnapura & as he left captain Sangakkara & Mahela Jayawardene took the honours of finishing the game as early as end of day 3.

A shameful performance by Pakistan to loose out both the 2 Test matches where opportunities were knocking at their door

The third Test would just be a game to salvage some pride for Pakistan as they prevent a clean sweep by SL.

Watch out for the Third Test starting on 20th July at the beautiful Galle Stadium.
