Indian Emerging Players Team Lead by S Badrinath - Emerging Players Tournament 2009

The Middle order Batsman, S Badrinath will lead the emerging indian cricket players. The emerging players tournament will be played in Australia from 20th July 2009. The slectors of Indian cricket team announced the 16 man sqaud. Virat Kohli will be the vice captain of Indian Emerging Cricket Team.

Four teams will take part in this tournament which will start from 20th July to 1st August. The other three teams are Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), and emerging cricket teams of South Africa and New Zealand.

It will be the fifth time when this tournament will take place. India was at the 3rd place last year and will looking to improve ranking. The defending champion, New Zealand won against AIS by three wickets in the final last year.
