Sri Lanka 240 all out in the First innings could manage to get a lead of 150 valuable runs against Pakistan who were cheaply bundled out in the first two session of Day 1 of the 2nd Test Match at Colombo. Sri Lanka also struggled against the pace attack of Pakistan with Sangakara holding nerves and scoring 87 runs; the highest scorer of the side. Umar Gul & Saeed Ajmal put Sri Lankan batsmen under immense pressure with perfect line and length taking 4 wickets each.
Earlier in the First Innings Pakistan continuing its unpredictable performance was swept off for just 90 runs in the first inning’s none other than Shoaib Malik could show some sort of resistance to the Sri Lankan bowling attack
