The Match will start on 11th September, 2009 at at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo at 14:30 local/IST, 09:00 GMT.New Zealand have lost the first ODI match in Compaq cup tri-series against Sri Lanka and also they have lost the ODI series against India earlier this year. But New Zealand have won the two T20 matches against Sri Lanka and friday match against India is a must win for them to reach finals in the Compaq cup tri-series 2009.
India will play the first match of this tri series against New Zealand after a long time. Unfortunately, The both openers (Virender Sehwag & Gautam Gambhir) will not be avialable for this series but India got back Rahul Dravid who can give stability in middle order.
