A impressive showing of Sri Lanka batting prowess; led well from the start by Tillakaratne Dilshan scoring 106 in 92 balls and getting good support from fellow batsmen in Kumara Sangakkara (54) and Mahela Jayawardene (77). South Africa won the toss and the dewy nature of the pitch enticed Smith to bowl first. The toss and Jayasurya wicket went his way but after that the entire game was in Sri Lankas hand.
