Pakistan beat Netherlands to qualify for Super Eight


Pakistan 175 for 5 (Akmal 41, Younis 36) beat Netherlands 93 (Afridi 4-11) by 82 runs

Shahid Afridi led Pakistan to a thumping win over Netherlands (Holland) with a 4 wicket haul. Earlier Pakistani batsmen held their nerve and scored a descent score of 175/5 in 20 overs with man of the match, Kamran Akmal scoring 41 runs and also some splendid wicket keeping by being responsible in 4 dismissals of the Dutch batting side. Captain Younis Khan also got among the scoring with a valuable 36 runs.

Netherlands were nervous in their approach losing wickets every single moment. They managed a paltry 96 runs before all their batsmen returned back to the pavilion with celebration in the Pakistan camp.

Shahid Afridi had the best bowling figures of this world cup with 4 overs giving away 11 runs and taking 4 wickets at a run rate of 2.75 which is awesome in this format of the game.

Man of the Match: Kamran Akmal for his 41 runs and 4 dismissals.
