Virendra Sehwag is returning back to India as he failed to recover of his shoulder injury. Rohit Sharma had replaced him as a makeshift opener till Sehwag could recover and Rohit has come up to India’s expectation with some nice knocks at the top of the order along with Sehwag’s state partner Gautam Gambhir.
Dinesh Karthik very strategically sent as a replacement as he showed good form in the recently concluded IPL and also India was at risk with just MS Dhoni being the lone wicket keeper in its side. Dinesh Karthik will give some relief to MS Dhoni as a back up for any undue injuries cropping up with the Dhoni the skipper / wicket keeper.
