South Africa win first Super Eight match against England – SA beat ENG

The first match of a tough Group of Super Eight went to South Africa, who looked a complete professional side as they went with the bowling and choked England for run who managed just 111 runs (Umpire David Shepherd would have hopped whole day for his superstitious belief on Nelson – He is perhaps best known to spectators for his superstitious observance of 'Nelson' - all multiples of 111 - which involves him in hopping from foot to foot until the score moves on.)

Yes indeed it was dooms for the host team as they lost an important tie to stay below in the ranking chart to qualify for the semifinals. And being a tough Group with India & West Indies being the other teams to play England will have to pull up their socks.

A brief summary of the match:
South Africa 114 for 3 (Kallis 578) beat England 111 (Shah 38, Parnell 3-14)

Except Owais Shah there is not much to speak about England’s batting performance. The South African pace bowlers took charge of the match in the initial stage and gave vital blows to England. Both Dale Steyn and Wayne Parnell the speedsters for SA took wickets in their first overs. Spinners took control in the middle overs and backed with some fantastic fielding effort (catch of the match where Roelof van der Merwe's removed Kevin Pietersen) from the South Africa players.

England had very less hope to take the match away from South Africa who had very less heroics to prove.
